At OtonaCon we are running a Codenames tournament! Codenames was just nominated for the very prestigious Spiel des Jahres Game of the Year award! You can read about this fascinating game here.

You can preregister for the tournament on our Forums or wait until you make it to OtonaCon.

When: Saturday, June 11, 2016 starting at 2:00pm.

How does it work? You can read the rules to Codenames here.

For the tournament, each participant will have the opportunity to be the clue giver one or two times, depending on sign ups.
Each team will have three or four players, depending on sign ups.
Teams will be randomly generated for each round.
All players on the winning team will receive one point for winning. The remaining clues the losing team will also be recorded, as a plus for the winning team, and as a negative for the losing team.
After all of the games have been played the player with the most points will win the tournament. If there is a tie, the tie breaker will be the biggest total difference in remaining clues. If there is still a tie, it will be the biggest single difference in remaining clues. If there is still a tie and there are only two people, one final game will be played, with one team of two against another team of two, with randomly selected partners from those willing to play.
The winner of the tournament gets $25 to spend at Wood for Sheep, the onsite vendor.
